Our Story
The Moy Mackay Gallery first opened its doors in 2012. Over the past 13 years we have been delighted to showcase artists from all over the world representing a huge variety of forms and media.
In addition to visiting artists, the gallery also hosts a large collection of artwork by local artist and gallery owner, Moy Mackay.
Throughout the year we shine a spotlight on particular artists through our seasonal exhibitions which we warmly invite you to visit in person. In addition to these, we also regularly attend art fairs and additional exhibitions around Peebles and Edinburgh offering art-lovers a wealth of beauty and inspiration throughout the year.
Own Art
The Moy Mackay Gallery is a participating member of the Own Art scheme.
Own Art is a national initiative available to UK residents that makes buying contemporary art and craft affordable by providing interest-free credit for the purchase of original work.
You can take home your artwork as soon as your application is approved and then make payment through 10 equal, interest-free payments.
For example, if you wished to purchase a painting costing £1,000 through a successful OwnArt application, you would take home the artwork the same day, and then pay £100 for 10 months.
You can also choose whether to pay a deposit, thereby reducing your monthly payment amount. For the above example, a deposit of £200 would reduce your remaining balance to £800 or 10 monthly payments of £80.
